Conservation Volunteers Australia & NZ
If your vision of Australia and New Zealand includes seeing the great outdoors and spotting some unique wildlife, then this is for you! Join a team, meet new friends, learn new skills, and have some fantastically different travel experiences with the leading practical conservation charity in Australia & New Zealand.
Each and every volunteer will enjoy a different conservation experience. A tailor made programme will be put together for you, visiting a different project site every week or two and completing a range of conservation activities.
• Help to plant more than 1 million trees for habitat and land restoration
• Collect over 1,000 tons of native seeds for re-vegetation & reforestation
• Build and restore over 300 kilometres of walking tracks and boardwalks
• Install more than 80 kilometres of fencing to protect vulnerable areas
• Complete 500 wildlife surveys to assist with threatened species management

The program includes all meals and accommodation (including the weekends when you’ll have free time to explore the local area). Return transport from the office where you start your program is also part of the package. Choose to start from any of the following offices around the country, on any Friday throughout the year. The Land of the Long White Cloud is a great place for a big green adventure, with plenty of opportunities to learn and explore as a conservation volunteer. New Zealand is well known as the capital of outdoor activities, and the rugged landscapes, lush forests and deserted beaches offer exceptional opportunities.
The program starts from Auckland or Hamilton on the North Island, or from Christchurch on the South Island with departures every week. Simply choose the number of weeks you’d like to stay. All meals and accommodation included (including the weekends when you’ll have free time to explore the local area).
