Managing your money while away from home couldn't be easier. Our STA Travel Prepaid MasterCard® Cashcard and ISIC Prepaid Mastercard Cashcard offer a range of great features and ways to help you manage your money with an easy way of topping up your card when required.

RETRIEVE YOUR PIN

You can retrieve your PIN by calling 020 7070 4902 and simply following the instructions:

• If you've forgotten the 4 digit code or password that you gave at the time of application, please contact our card customer care team (not the STA Travel store) customercare@statravelprepaid.co.uk or call us on 020 7096 9441. You can change your PIN at most ATMs by simply following the instructions on screen.

UPGRADING YOUR CARD

If your STA Travel Cashcard has a £2,000 annual limit, you can upgrade your card to a £5,000 limit for free and enjoy the additional benefits and services:

•   Higher annual usage limits, including ATM withdrawals.
•   A free secondary card to share money with a friend orfamily member, or to help you budget (STA Travel Cashcard only). All you need to do is send us a copy of your photo ID and a proof of address from the list below. Please send to customercare@staprepaid.co.uk and include your eccount number in the email.
•   Photo ID – a photocopied or scanned copy from the list below:
•   The photo page of your passport
•   Your EEA Identity Card
•   Your UK photocard driving licence
•   Proof of address – an original document dated within the last 3 months from the list below:
•   Mortgage/bank/credit card statement
•   Evidence of entitlement to a state or local authority-funded benefit
•   Utility bill
•   Valid Vehicle Registration Certificate (copy acceptable)
•   Council tax demand (dated within the last 12 months)
•   You will also need to provide us with some details of the source of the funds that you will be using to top up your card, for example:
•   Salary (name and address of employer)
•   Maintenance payments (details of payor)
•   Benefit payments (details of payor)
•   Savings (Name of bank and sort-code or branch)

BY BANK TRANSFER
You can top up for free via bank transfer. Just arrange a normal bank transfer from your own bank account to the STA Travel eccount, entering the bank details below for your STA Travel Cashcard/ISIC Cashcard. Your money will be available within 4 working days.

*Important: It's essential to only include your STA eccount number as the payment reference to ensure funds are allocated correctly. Without the reference number, the allocation of your money may be delayed and you may incur an extra administration fee. You can also have your salary/wages paid directly into your eccount/card by giving your employer or the payer the above details (from a UK bank account only).


AT AN STA TRAVEL STORE (UK ONLY)

It is possible to top up your card at any STA Travel UK store free of charge. Just pop in with your card (or give us a call with the details) and we can add your money onto your card. No fee applies and your funds will reach your eccount instantly.


BY CREDIT OR DEBIT CARD

If you have a £5,000 limit on your card, you can register a credit/debit card with us and top up your STA Travel eccount directly from this. Log in to your STA Travel eccount and click on the tab labelled ‘Top-Up’. Once you have registered your credit/debit card with us, you can use this tab in the future to top up your STA Travel eccount directly from this credit/debit card (a 3% fee applies).


The first top up you make from any newly registered credit/debit card will take 3 days. After this, each subsequent top up will hit your eccount straight away.


WITH CASH


Post Office

You can top up at over 11,500 Post Office branches (99p fee). Simply hand your card to the cashier along with the cash you wish to top up and they will provide you with a receipt. Your money will be available to spend within 4 working days.


Paypoint

Top-up with cash at over 28,000 PayPoint locations nationwide displaying the PayPoint logo (3% fee). Simply hand the retailer your cash and ask them to swipe your STA Travel Cashcard. Your money will then be available to spend instantly.

MANAGING YOUR MONEY

Managing your card and money is quick, easy and safe. You can perform important functions on your card by the following methods:

 

1. Log-in online: www.statravel.co.uk/cashcard and select ‘eccount summary’ to manage your money

2. Call our automated telephone line: 020 7070 4907 or +44 20 7070 4907 if overseas.

3. Register your mobile number with us to use our text services.

Text the bold words from the list below to 80777:

Amount indicates the money value and XXXX indicates the last 4 digits of the 16 digit Card number.

This service only applies if cards are registered to the mobile number that the text is being sent from. Balance updates by text: standard network rates apply when you text us. USING YOUR CARD IN ATMS AND OUTLETS WHEN ABROAD

Dynamic Currency Conversion

You can use your card anywhere you see the MasterCard Acceptance Mark worldwide.

When overseas, goods, services and ATM withdrawals are usually given in the local currency. You may be offered the choice to pay in pounds sterling instead. The local shop or ATM is performing the currency conversion for you and giving you its own foreign exchange rate. This is called Dynamic Currency Conversion. You should always decline this option and choose to pay in the local currency, as often this FX rate may be considerably higher than the rate you are getting from us.

Offer valid for selected new insurance policies booked and fully paid between Friday 25th Nov 2016 and Monday 28th November 2016 or until sold out. Policies booked must be Blue Worldwide Single trip standard, premier and premier plus policies of duration 6 months and more. Offer excludes annual multi-trip and all specialised polices including but not limited to Sport trips cover, winter sports cover and study abroad cover. Offer only available on new policies, not on extensions or renewals of existing policies. The travel money card provided will be either an STA Travel Prepaid MasterCard ® Cashcard or STA Travel ISIC Prepaid MasterCard Cashcard and the total loaded will be £50 including any already included load.
