Nice hotel, shame about the location

The hotel itself is very clean, spacious and the facilities are great. It is not too far from Union Square and China Town and the hotel provided a free shuttle service to Fisherman's Wharf. The hotel provides breakfast and internet facilities (free). Staff are very attentive. The location of the hotel can be quite intimidating, however, as there is a halfway house and a methadone clinic nearby. Although we were never bothered by anyone, this was quite scary. So, if you stay at the Cova, take the advice of the hotel receptionists and don't walk directly right towards Union Square - go across a couple of blocks and then make your way there!
