Terms and conditions

2. By entering the competition entrants agree that they have read and fully understood these terms and be bound by them. If you disagree with any of these terms and conditions then you may not enter this competition.

3. This competition is only open to residents of the UK, Channel Islands and the Isle of Man. Excluding employees of STA Travel, their families and anyone else professionally associated with this competition.

4. One winner will receive a prize of up to £2000 to spend on Emirates tickets. These tickets can be used on any Emirates flight route and the competition winner can fly anytime they like on any route, however booking of the tickets must be completed by 31st December 2010. Once booked by the winner all dates and names are final and cannot be changed.

5. Any applicable local payments and/or taxes will need to be paid for by the winner out of the £2000 prize fund.

6. The winner of this competition should ensure that they obtain any required visas, vaccinations, travel-insurance, permissions and comply with any conditions of travel.

7. The competition closes midnight on Friday 29th October 2010.

8. Travel must be booked by 31st December 2010. All travel is also subject to booking date availability of the relevant supplier.

9. Once booked, prizes are strictly non transferable and the prize is subject to availability. STA Travel reserves the right to exchange prizes for others of equal or greater value.

10. The winner will be notified by email and/or by phone by the Friday 12th November 2010 where correct information has been supplied upon entry. If the winner cannot be contacted by STA Travel after reasonable attempts to do so within 7 days, a second winner will be drawn - if after no contact is made after reasonable attempts to do so within a further 7 days the prize will be forfeit.

11. The winner’s name and prize may be disclosed to anyone who enquires within one month after the published closing date by sending a stamped addressed envelope to: Freshers £2000 trip competition, Marketing Department, STA Travel, 6 Wrights Lane, London W8 6TA.

12. STA Travel reserves the right to use the names or winners, for publicity purposes only.

13. Where a winner has been selected and STA Travel discovers or has reasonable grounds to believe they have used any software or automated process either to answer questions or to make bulk entries, STA Travel may select an alternative winner. Any further winner will be selected on the same criteria as the original winner and will be subject to these terms. STA Travel reserves the right to disqualify incomplete or illegible entries. STA Travel’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

14. STA Travel shall not be liable to any entrant or winner for any financial loss arising out of the refusal, cancellation or withdrawal of this competition.

15.  The prize is not transferable for cash and is not valid with any other STA Travel offer.

16. These terms and conditions and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or its subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts shall prevail.
