Gap year safety course

Prepare and be safe
This course teaches you how to best prepare for your gap year and how to deal with any problems you may face.  The intention is to help you recognise danger by teaching you to think on your feet and interpret situations wisely - without terrifying the living daylights out of you!

Professional travel safety advice
If you saw the excellent ‘Long Way Round' TV series you may well have seen Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman being put through their paces on this course, prior to embarking on their epic round the world motorbike journey.

Fun and interactive
The course is delivered by means of interactive scenarios and role-play, lectures and hands-on learning. The instructors have an excellent understanding of young travellers and flavour the course will tales of scrapes and situations they themselves have encountered.

Participants in the course receive the same level of training given out to journalists and professionals who work in war zones.
