Football is the national sport of Ghana and you can be part of the passion. Through a football coaching placement you will be able to work with local kids to develop their skills and enthusiasm for the game and at the same time enjoy the carnival atmosphere of African sport.

We have placements to suit both novice and seasoned coaches alike, so you don’t have to be experienced to coach football in Ghana. All you need is a basic knowledge of the game and real enthusiasm to encourage young children to play. We will place you with a local youth team according to your coaching experience. You will train and coach this team on a regular basis in the run-up to a final competition with teams run by your fellow volunteer coaches. Skills sessions, teamwork exercises and fitness drills will help you shape young players who are eager to improve their talents but often lack a structured environment in which to do so. You can also sharpen your own playing skills as a member of our local football (and other sports) team “Akpeteshi FC” – so you can enjoy the team atmosphere just as much as your own young players. |
