Excellent location very near Las Ramblas and good bars/restaurants. Walking distance from two metro stations as well. The staff were friendly and most of them spoke good English (we tried our best but neither of us are Spanish speakers!). Room was pretty basic but fine and clean with good air conditioning. We had windows out onto an Atrium which was OK - although a balcony onto the street would have been nice it would have been noisier so what we got was just fine. Breakfast was OK, again pretty basic but if all you want is toast/croissant/cereal then it was great. The cooked stuff was less good and there was paella with it one morning!
Overall we had a lovely stay and it was certainly not hampered by any of the hotel's features. I cannot stress enough the EXCELLENCE of the location though! Great base for sight-seeing/dining out/bars etc.
