Great location and a good sized room!

The room was very spacious compared to the 9 other hotels I stayed at in China. The location is also really good, on a quiet side street but only 5 minutes walk to Tiananmen Square.

this was my first hotel as a newbie traveller so it was good for me to "break me in gently". nice place, loved the traditional bell boys with the trolleys, really added character. staff had great grasp of english (which was helpful with our taxi driver!) and restaurants were nice on the different floors.

Compared with the hotel I stayed the following two nights in Beijing on the GAP tour, it was much more comfortable and spacious.
It also had some unintentionally amusing non-complimentary sex aids which I have not come across before or since!
