Ashanti Gardens Lodge

Once a Victorian mansion, Ashanti Lodge is now a great laid-back hostel. With a pool, barbecues, dorms and an outstanding private guest-house - not to mention a romantic sounding address at the foot of Table Mountain, close to Waterfront - this is a neat place. *** All holders of a valid International Student (ISIC), Youth (IYTC) or Teacher (ITIC) Identity Card will receive 1 hour free internet access and a coffee *** Learn more >

The staff were great and really helpful. With the travel centre there you had no problem booking any acticity and the staff were knowledgeable and enthusiastic. I stayed during more of the off season but the bar still had a nice atmosphere

The staff are very resposive to problems and questions, always eager to help. Bar staff make it a great night in the bar upstairs, make you feel very welcome its hard to leave at the end of your stay

Good location, lots of friendly people! Travel centre advice very helpful. If you're a couple or two people travelling I'd recommend the twin/double rooms rather than the dorms.

I was staying on my own, but the hostel made it very easy to make friends. There was a shared kitchen and the bar became very busy in the evenings.
