This hotel was a long way from the centre - large, no atmosphere, more suitable to all expneses paid business clients not independent travellers wanting to enjoy the atmosphere of a city. Taxis cost over $2 to 3 each way to get to the centre so no popping back for a quick shower or rest before going out again. Oppressive and over large dominated by large tour groups. Stylish decor in the bedrooms and they were lovely and quiet. Nice swimming pool but we were not wanting that kind of facility. Would not recommend this especially we saw a number of other lovely places near the centre which were cheaper and had more atmosphere. Why were we booked into this by our travel agent? A big disappointment

Quality place to stay. It will cost you $2 max in a tuk tuk to get to the riverside area and there is no shortage of tuk tuks as you will probably find out. The hotel has a gym, swim pool, jacuzzi and other facilities. The food is not brilliant, but im a fussy eater. Better off heading to the riverside area for food. If you dont want luxury and would prefer cheaper accom. just head to the rat run of the lakeside area. Most travellers stay at the lakeside area or the riverside area, which is obviously cheaper.
