KAMP USA

If you're a full time student and fancy doing something a little different in your long summer break, then working in a behind-the scenes support role at a US summer camp could be for you! We've teamed up with BUNAC to offer you the ultimate Kitchen and Maintenance programme (KAMP) - they've been running summer camps for over 40 years and know their stuff!

Working in the lively and sociable atmosphere of a US summer camp is a great way for students to earn money, gain work experience and meet new friends. What's more, many camps allow you to take full advantage of their amenities such as canoeing and kayaking in your spare time.

Applications are now closed for 2012. But it's never to early to start planning right? Give us a call or pop into your local store to ask about KAMP USA 2013.

How does KAMP USA work?
Behind every smooth running summer camp is a team of dedicated and hardworking support staff. Different support roles include working in the kitchen, dining room, office, or as part of the general housekeeping, laundry or maintenance teams.

The programme has low up-front costs because we lend you the cost of their transatlantic flight and other programme costs and the camp then pays us on your behalf once they’ve completed their contract. This still leaves you with a guaranteed salary of $1,300, which you receive directly from the camp. After camp has finished, you are then free to travel in North America for up to 30 days. Nice!

When does it take place?
Camps run for 8-10 weeks over the summer, normally starting in early to mid-June and finishing towards the end of August/beginning of September. The earlier you apply the more chance you have of being placed at camp. The programme is open for applications from September to April.
