 Darwin Beer Can Regatta - August

 V8 Supercars Championship series, Darwin - June

 The Tiwi Islands Football Grand Final and Art Sale on Bathurst Island in March - the biggest event of the year for the football-loving Tiwi people

 The five-day Garma Festival in Arnhem Land - a cultural celebration of the Yolngu people with ceremonial performances, internationally acclaimed artists of the region and cultural classes. Held in August

 The quirky Henley-On-Todd Regatta in Alice Springs, where teams race bottomless boats on the dry Todd River bed in September 
 
 The Camel Cup is a hilarious day of camel races and novelty events like rickshaw races a game of camel polo

 Desert Mob in Alice Springs - an annual exhibition in September and October displaying works by Aboriginal artists living and working in remote areas of the Northern Territory. Visitors can view and purchase art works

The Darwin Festival, a celebration of live performance and music every August.
