My most recent holiday...
It was in Kerala in November - I did the Beaches and Backwaters adventure tour.
My favourite destination is...
Las Vegas! I got married there last year, so I have very fond memories of Sin City, with its bright lights, crazy hotels and spectacular atmosphere.
I love travel because…
It provides me with a personal insight into people and culture, which can only be gained by getting out there and experiencing new places, food, smells and timezones. You never know what is around the corner!

My top Round The World tip...
Book and pay for as much as you can before you go away. Once all the big stuff is taken care of, it is far easier to manage on a 'per day' budget.
I like working for STA Travel because...
Every day is different! I get to talk about exotic places all day, and I love hearing about my passenger's plans and seeing their excitement after booking their dream trip. We literally have people walk out the door and scream!
The most interesting RTW travel itinerary i've organised...
I can't think of any specific example, but I think it's great when people make the most of stopovers and add random places into their itinerary. Like Sri Lanka, Japan and Hawaii.
My best culinary experience was...
Hippo Haunt Restaurant & Bar, Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary in Swaziland. We had just endured hours of travelling down bumpy roads on the back of a jeep in the dark and pouring rain, to get to our little mud hut in the middle of the reserve.
Right next door to us was the amazing Hippo Haunt where we had a late dinner. It consists of a reed and semi-tin roof, riversand floor, railway sleeper benches, and overlooks a swamp with hippos in. The food was so homely and warming, we agreed that it had totally been worth the journey for that alone.
I can't travel without...
Chocolate! Sometimes, when you are in the middle of a remote place or on a really long plane journey you just NEED Maltesers!
My travel claim to fame is...
I have not met any celebs during my travels, but I was fortunate enough to win a place on the 'I'm a Travel Agent, Get Me Out of Here!' Queensland tourism board fam in 2008. We stayed at the Versace Hotel on the Gold Coast and went into the 'I'm a Celebrity' campsite and did bushtucker trials.
My most embarrassing travel moment...
When trekking in the Annapurna, Nepal, I got hideously sick overnight and had to be evacuated back down the mountain by a local family in their battered old 4x4 vehicle. I had two curious children on my lap and we stopped on the way to pick up a man who was standing on the isolated roadside with a fridge - I thought I was hallucinating!
