Perfect for saving pennies, whilst getting a little more luxury than typical hostels. Dorms come with a radio, bathroom, ceiling fan, telephone and TV while private rooms have loads of gizmos including iPod compatible clock radios. Internet access and WiFi are also available.
The hotel itself was great lovely rooms and very well decorated...the staff were great and helped me sort out my shuttle transfer back to the airport.
I stayed here for a couple of days at the start of my trip I left the hotel and walked the wrong way into an area called skid row...its not the best place in LA but if you go another way then all is fine. I had no hassles as a single woman but like all big cities you gotta have your wits about you...

Compared to hostels in Australia - this was pure hostel heaven!! Generous rooms c/w TV, en-suite and phone. Linen was lovely and clean and rooms were made up every day. Shampoo, conditioner and shower gel on tap - amazing! Cannot comment on kitchen facilities as I did not use them - not even sure they have them as I did not see them. Free internet using macs, excellent bonus. Staff very helpful in booking tours, giving directions, booking in/out, etc. Location fairly good, couple of pub/cafes around the corner and not far to walk to Nokia Live centre with cinema, Grammy Museum, etc.
Would highly recommend staying here - if I ever visit LA again, I would have no hesitation to book my room here.

The hostel was extremely clean and modern but the location couldn't have been any more inconvenient. Nothing to do around the hostel and it was way too far away from the airport considering I was only in transit for just the one night. Poor overall!
