Weekly Itinerary

Monday: Free Day

Orientate yourself with the area you're staying in, get to know the culture and socialise with others on your project.

Tuesday - Friday: Volunteering Project

You'll supervise student's surf lessons most mornings and take part in the educational support programme in the afternoon. Activities may include helping with homework, assisting a reading programme at the community library, planning life skills lessons and activities, and attending parent meetings. Through coaching and training impoverished youngsters and youth-at-risk, you'll promote their self-esteem and provide them with the skills needed for social participation.

Saturday: Volunteering Project

Treat yourself to a lie in on Saturday and then get involved in lifeguard training, fitness sessions and surfing in the afternoon.

Sunday: Free Day

Free day to take a walking tour of the city and Kommetjie.
