Before you start the project, you will enjoy a few days of helpful information sessions about both the volunteering work and the local culture. so no need to fret; those of you without formal teacher training will be provided with the necessary skills needed to tutor effectively. You'll teach English and maths to Nepalese school children, as well as organizing creative projects. Through puppet-making, storytelling, painting and drawing you will help to get the students excited about learning,. Workbooks and guidelines will also be provided to help you plan your activities properly. The weekend you have the chance to explore this amazing country and trips to Chitwan and Pohkara are included!

Day 1: Arrival

On arrival at Kathmandu airport, keep your eyes peeled for your bubbly tour leader who will transfer you to your accommodation in Kathmandu.

Day 2: Volunteering Camp

After an early breakfast you'll learn all about Nepal and your volunteering project. There'll be a short tea break and then further information and activities before dinner and a well-earned rest.

Day 3: Volunteering Project Orientation

The day starts with some early morning yoga. Suitably limber you will then visit the volunteer projects before grabbing lunch and checking out the local markets. In the evening there'll be workshops on henna painting, Nepalese clothing and local culture.

Day 4: Volunteering Project

Another morning yoga session, then it's off to your volunteer project. In the afternoon you can watch a Bollywood film and learn how to dance like one of its stars. In the evening you'll enjoy a homemade dinner, mmm.

Day 5 - 6: Pokhara

Off to Pokhara, the beautiful lakeside town surrounded by snow-capped mountains. Trek into the Himalayas, take a boat trip on the lake or try your hand at extreme sports! When the weekend's over you'll return to your volunteering camp.

Day 7 - 12: Volunteering Project

Spend the week getting stuck into your volunteering. Typical activities include assisting in lessons of English, Maths, and Art and Crafts to local communities.

Day 13: Chitwan

After Breakfast at the Camp, you'll be whisked away to Chitwan, a National Park home to over 50 different animals and 450 species of bird.

Day 14 - 15: Departure

You'll come back to your accommodation and transferred to Kathmandu Airport for a flight back home.
