Volunteer Brazil - 2017

  • 14Day(s)
  • Trip Code: STRIOVL5

This varied and inspiring project is based around the neighbourhoods of Complexo do Alemão, one of Rio's largest favelas (shanty town). Working with the residents, you'll help to build skill sets among the poorest residents to ensure long-term transformation in the community. There are nine different project activities to choose from, an you'll decide which ones you want to be involved in on your first day of volunteering. Teach children to read and write, or get involved with the community through sport tournaments and games. Opt for the four-week programme to choose from a whole host of extra activities including boat parties, favela tours and capoeira classes. On the weekend, head to the caipirinha-soaked beaches of Copacabana.
