Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City
Arrive in Ho Chi Minh City, where you'll get picked up from the airport and taken to your hotel. This afternoon go on a walking tour of Cholon, some of the city's markets, the fascinating War Remnants Museum and downtown Saigon. This evening you have the chance to sample some typical Southern Vietnamese cuisine in a restaurant or 'bia hoi' of your choice (payable locally - dinner not included).
Day 2: Cu Chi Tunnels
Spend half the day underground navigating your way through 200km of tunnel - visiting schools, kitchens and even sleeping quarters. It's this sub-soil labyrinth that kept the Vietnamese alive during French air attacks in the Indochina conflict and, today, is one of the country's top spots to check out. This evening is at leisure - yours to explore the city's nightlife, or chill out with a cold beer and watch the world go by!

Here you will learn more about the ingredients, Vietnamese herbs and spices and start collecting vegetables for your class. After the market visit, you will be transferred to "Mai Home" (Saigon Culinary Art Center); where you will learn the secrets of Vietnamese cuisine. At 9:30 AM, you will start the cooking class. It is held in a traditional setting; and guests will be divided into small groups to enhance interaction. At the completion of the lesson, you will sit down and enjoy lunch including what you have cooked.
