Ask the Experts: How Can I Improve my Chances of Getting A Working Holiday Visa For Canada?

Our travellers love a working holiday adventure, and that’s why STA Travel teamed up with BUNAC – as they’re the experts in working abroad. So we went straight to them with this frequently asked question:

How can I improve my chances of getting a working holiday visa for Canada?

Canada is so hot right now, (metaphorically speaking only of course) so Sophie from BUNAC should have some cracking advice for everyone who’s wondering, Sophie, what you saying?

Quebec, Canada.

First thing’s first – we cannot guarantee that you will get the IEC Canadian working holiday visa. We wish we could (honestly!) however visa allocation is controlled on the discretion of Canadian immigration. The IEC working holiday visa is pretty over-subscribed, and with good reason. It allows British citizens between the ages of 18-30, and Irish citizens between the ages of 18-35, to work and travel around Canada for up to 24 months.

The process of joining the visa pool and completing the application can be complex and confusing. That’s why help is at hand with our lovely friends at BUNAC. They have been providing IEC visa support to young people for over two decades, and they have helped thousands of people set off to pastures new in Canada. BUNAC make sure you have all the documents you need, in the time-restriction you are given. They also make sure you have completed each part of your application correctly in order to give you the best chance of getting your IEC visa approved. All in all, they make the process simple and stress-free.
