Bangkok is a bustling, energy-consuming, down right crazy place to visit! You’re going to need a decent place to stay and a base to explore from. Plus air con and a roof top pool never hurt anyone! (it’s going to be hot in Bangkok, seriously hot). Here’s our pick of the top 7 places to stay in Bangkok:

1.Top Inn


SMACK BANG in the heart of the Khao San Road! If you’re a backpacker, this is where you want to be . Top Inn is safe and simple, clean and comfortable. The rooms are newly-renovated with private bathrooms and air con (essential on a hangover). You can chill out on the rooftop sundeck or head out to the buzzing bars a stone’s throw away.

Price: fr £14 for a single room and fr £9 for a twin/double room. BARGAIN!

2.Buddy Lodge


Another CORKER on the Khao San Road right in the hustle and bustle of Bangkok, is the Buddy Lodge. This hotel is excellent value for money with clean, spacious rooms, wooden floors, balconies, en suites, fridges, air con and free WI-FI (an essential. obvs.) But it doesn’t stop there! Get out of the scorching mid-day heat and hit the rooftop pool, the ultimate oasis.

This is a little more glampacker, a super-cool budget option next to the National Stadium. It has everything on its doorstep from bars to bazaars and shops to stalls. Take your pick from airy four-bed deluxe dorms and ladies-only dorms to private rooms with queen-sized beds and en suites. Check out the indoor theatre or chill out in the courtyard. Nice.

3.The Rembrandt Hotel

Apparently the cocktails are to die for!
