We can’t help but think back to Glastonbury this time last week! We may be mud free and out of the rain for now but nothing quite beats the vibes that Glasto offers. It’s also the place for discovering the next big musical act. If you expand your horizons past the classic Pyramid stage, you’ll soon find there’s so much fresh talent on offer for you to Spotify the heck out of when you return. Only caught the headliners? Don’t worry! We’re here to make sure you know who to get on your radar for future festivals as you’ll guarantee to see the three acts below creep up the festival posters over the next few years..
Without a doubt, Rocky Nti smashing it on the BBC Introducing Stage was our Glasto highlight! Name sound familiar? He is also this month’s STA Travel Sounds artist! Hailing from Milton Keynes, Rocky Nti is no stranger to the music industry. After working with the likes of Kano, Benga and Nina Nesbit to name a few, he’s now ready to own the stage solo. After returning from Glastonbury, he became this week’s BBC Introducing Record of the Week! So we’re sure you’ll be hearing a lot more from him on the airwaves.
Make sure to check out his brand new video for ‘Brixton Babes’ below, exclusive to STA Travel Sounds!
Christine and the Queens
Never has the combination of dance and music been so beautifully awkward and addictive. French native Héloïse Letissier, who records under the name Christine and the Queens is the next big thing out of France. Don’t believe us? Watch her perform a stripped back version of ‘Titled’ below and try telling us any different.
OhBoy! Indeed… The Midlands rockers brought the Alt-Pop vibes to the BBC Introducing stage! Since forming, they have released a two EPs and a couple of singles. Earlier this year, they also signed to Alcopop! Records.OhBoy! have played across the UK and recently at The Great Escape festival in Brighton and at Camden Rocks in London. Keep your eye on them! They’ve set for big things.
