7 Things you have to do in Perth

Step away from the East Coast of Australia and take some time to get to know the West. Perth is the capital city of Western Australia, with its lush coastline, fashionable bars and laid back atmosphere, it’s definitely somewhere you want to tick off your Australian bucket-list. But what to do when you get there? Here are 7 things you have to do when in Perth…

1. Climb to the top of Kings Park

For the best view in the city head to Kings Park in the Central Business District of Perth. It’s one of the largest inner city parks in the world and receives over 6 million visitors a year. Grab a picnic blanket, bottle of champagne and climb up Mt Eliza for a panoramic view of Swan River.

The Subiaco Oval stadium is Perth’s home to Aussie football. The menu is huge with loads to choose from; banana bread is always a winner but if you’re feeling more adventurous try the Huevos Rancheros, fried eggs, tortillas, chorizo and chipotle salsa – it will kick start your day!
