7 Reasons NOT to go to Bali

What do you think of when you picture Bali? Mesmerising sunsets, unique culture, awesome nightlife and delicious food? You’re not wrong. But all of these things can have a serious effect on your well-being. EXTREMELY serious. When in Bali you’re likely to experience feelings of sadness for plain white rice, embarrassment for other sunsets, high levels of relaxation and a strong desire to become a mermaid. Don’t put yourself through that.

Yuck! That sunset it just too much. The Gili Islands are a stone’s throw from Bali, with white sandy palm-lined beaches surrounded by crystal clear waters, ideal for snorkelling have some of the most OVER THE TOP sunsets. Seriously, how selfish of those Bali sunsets making all others look embarrassing and inferior.

Welcome back to another edition of High Five. This week, it’s the beautiful islands of Indonesia that get the High Five treatment. When I asked my colleagues for their opinions, I was bowled over by suggestions for islands to include in this round up. It seems that everyone has their personal favourites when it comes to Indonesia.

It’s hardly surprising: a quick Google will tell you that anything between 8,500 and 18,000 islands that make up the Indonesian archipelago, while the official government figures estimate around 900 of those are inhabitable. Spoilt for choice, much?

Why Bali for NYE is a great idea!

With year round sunshine, epic waves, cultural festivities and some of the most incredible parties in the world this is where you want to be seeing the New Year in. Dance til dawn on golden sand and watch Kuta’s infamous fireworks light up the sky. The weather

Escape the cold and drizzle of the UK and see the New Year in tropical style! Bali is a pretty warm climate year round, temperatures averaging around 27 degrees. So December and January will be lovely and warm, you just can’t beat popping champagne bottles in the sunshine! Just keep in mind, it’s also rainy season so there may be a couple of afternoon showers – but when’s a little rain stopped anybody drinking?
