High Five… Working Holidays!

If you’re reading this blog, it’s safe to say that you’re a bit of a travel lover. I’d put myself in that category. So much so that last year, my love of travel drove me take a few months out of work and travel around Asia.

While it was one of the best things I’ve ever done, after 3 months on the road, I started to feel a bit restless. Like I wanted to be doing something more than sitting on a beach in Vietnam – I know, I was surprised too. So I didn’t mind that much when the time came to come back to the UK and start my job again.

That feeling lasted for about a week before my feet started itching and I started pining for the sunnier, carefree ways of my time on the road. If only I’d thought about taking a working holiday. It’s the ultimate way to experience a new place, live like a local, do something productive, and get some meaningful work experience, all at once. Oh, and the money you’ll earn from working will go a long way to fund your travels, too.

There are a few things in life regarded as a ‘right of passage’ and an epic few months discovering all the fun to be had during a trip to Aus is definitely one of them.

Cruise around Australia is the ultimate gap trip experience – drinking, dancing, trying out exciting things you’ve never done before, meeting new people and maybe even finding the love of your life (or a holiday romance at least) as you go.

We’ve pinned down an Oz Experience driver guide Jimmy and got him to explain why he loves driving travellers around Australia and why he thinks you should get a piece of the action.
