The project has four shelters and seven care-centres, with over 3,500 children seeking help every year. These children arrive without a home, family or possessions and in most cases seek shelter to protect themselves from violence, hunger and abuse. In addition to basic health care, food and shelter, the project provides computer, photography, theatre and art workshops to help grow the children’s con$dence and skills. With programmes ranging from literacy and vocational training to arts and sports, volunteers are able to share their own skills and experience. |
