|Thai Elephant Conservation
||7 days fr £389|
The elephant conservation project aims to provide shelter and protection
for elephants from all over Thailand. Set in a valley surrounded by forested mountains, an hour away from Chiang Mai by road, the park offers a peaceful home for its residents - over 30 neglected and abused elephants. Instead of working for humans, the elephants are cared for by a team of full-time staff and park volunteers. Beginning early in the morning, as a volunteer you will prepare food for the elephants and assist their keepers in bathing them. Volunteers are really appreciated as the park is big.
