Are you eligible to work in America?

To work in the States you need to apply through an organisation that can provide you with all the relevant paperwork and ensure you have a sponsor organisation in America - that’s where we step in. 

We will assist you at every step in submitting your application for this student-only J-1 Visa, including arranging an embassy interview, applying for your DS-2019 and checking all your documents are correct along the way. To apply you need to be:

• At least 18 years old
• A full-time UK or Irish University student
• Available between 1st June and 30th September
• Ready for an all-American adventure

Costs to consider

• Work America programme: £399
• US visa fee: £135 (2012 fees).
• US government SEVIS fee: £25 (2012 fees).
• Support funds: $600 (if you have a pre-arranged job), $1000 (if you are job hunting on arrival).
• Mandatory travel insurance & US government SEVIS fee: £173

You have the freedom to fly to and from whichever destination you choose in America, however, we would strongly advise you not to book any non-transferable flight until your J-1 visa has been issued and your passport returned by the US Embassy.
