We’ve gone all-American for this week’s #FeatureFriday, here’s our pick of the top 7 cities to celebrate 4th of July in. Fire up the BBQ, grab a cold beer and get your fireworks ready (maybe don’t light them while reading) it’s time to celebrate the good old U S of A…
1.Philadelphia
Where better to spend the 4th of July than in the city where the country was born? Check out the parade through the historical centre and awesome concert on Parkway.
2.Washington D.C.
Head to the country’s capital for “A Capitol Fourth” celebration including a parade along the mall and performance by The National Symphony Orchestra. You’ll be feeling All-American in no time.
3.New York City
A NYC rooftop bar is where you need to be on the 4th of July for an unforgettable view of the fireworks along Hudson River. Forget a river cruise, the views just don’t compare to the top of a skyscraper.
4.Bristol, Rhode Island
The first Independence Day parade was held in this city in 1785 and they haven’t missed a year since! It is the oldest continuous 4th of July celebration in the USA. These guys are pros.
5.Memphis
Crank up the heat and soak up the sound of America’s blues capital. Head down Beale street for music, BBQs and a few eccentrics. If you’re looking for a unique Fourth of July experience, Memphis is the city for you!
6.New Orleans
Drinking and eating on the street all night? …just like any other day for New Orleans, the city where the party never stops. The residents are relaxed and welcome the 4th of July party atmosphere from young and old alike! FYI hot dogs will never be the same again.
7.Las Vegas
Ain’t no party like a 4th of July Vegas after-party.
