Lombok weather: When is the best time to visit?

Lombok is beautiful all year round. While there is a dry and a wet season, the wet season that runs from October through to April doesn't see too much rainfall. Don't want to push your luck? Travel to Lombok in the dry season, from May through to September.

How do you get from Bali to Lombok?

There are daily fastboats running from Bali to Lombok and they take around 30 minutes from Serangan Harbour, which is around 30 minutes from Kuta. The boats can arrange pickups from your accommodation to get you to the boats in time.

Where can you surf in Lombok?

Lombok is a surfer's paradise and there are loads of places for beginners and pro's to get out on the waves. The favourite among experienced surfers is Desert Point (aka Bangko Bangko beach), which Aussie's named due to being isolated on the south west coast of Lombok. You've also got Kuta which is well-known for good surf points, and Gerupuk Bay about 7km east of Kuta. If in doubt, just ask a local surfer and they'll point you in the right direction.
