When is the best time of year to visit Nepal?

Like elsewhere in the region, Nepal experiences monsoon rains during the summer months, mainly at night, and clouds often hide the stunning views the country is so famous for. However, accommodation prices drop so great for those of you on a budget. The autumn months bring clear skies and warm temperatures making it a popular time to attempt Everest and Annapurna base camps. Winter also sees clear days however the nights are very cold. Spring is warm with the occasional rain shower. Whatever time of year you visit however, take a mixture of warm and cold weather clothing as temperatures can alter dramatically depending on area and altitude.

Getting around Nepal

Nepal is pretty off the beaten track, especially once outside of the capital Kathmandu. Local transport does connect to top destinations such as Pokhara, but a guide is needed when attempting any mountain ascents. Many visitors opt to join a combined trek-culture tour offering the best of what this amazing country has to offer. Check out some of our top options below and get in touch for more information.
