Frequently asked questions about travelling to New York

What is the best way to get to New York?

The quickest way to get to New York is flying. Lucky for us there are direct flights available from the UK to New York with a variety of airport options both here and there. JFK, Newark and La Guardia airports are all within easy distance to the city centre, with public transport and taxis readily available. Flying time is anything between 5.5 and 7 hours (depending on wind) with the time difference in our favour, meaning it's actually doable for a short break.

When is the best time to visit New York?

NYC is a year round destination! In autumn watch the trees of Central Park turn to warm shades of orange and red and see the Thanksgiving Day parade. Winter welcomes the iconic Rockefeller Christmas tree, ice skating and exciting ice hockey in Madison Square Gardens. In spring and summer the city buzzes with alfresco dining, outdoor cinema and concerts and evenings spent at trendy rooftop bars.
