Travel guide

Catch a ride from Vancouver and head over to the outside adventure playground of Whistler. Epic snow fall, pumping apres skis, mountainous scenery and a whole host of activities come snow or shine. Read on for Whistler travel inspiration no matter the season..

Things to do in Whistler

Not just a place for snow addicts to carve up some seriously good slopes, Whistler is ripe for adventure and entertainment year-round. From scrumptious post-hike feeds in local restaurants, summer paddles in turquoise lakes to a bar scene that satisfies the cocktail lover as well as those apres ski throwdowns. Whistler has got the lot!
Ski the slopes
Whistler Blackcomb is a worldwide fave amongst the skiing and snowbarding community. And so it should be. On both Whistler and Blackcomb Mountain there are slopes for all ski levels. Once you're done tearing up the mountains, party in salopettes at one of the many apres ski bars.
Take a Hike
Glaciers, iconic blue lakes and hills covered in wild flowers. Make the most of that crisp fresh air with a walk in Whistler's 50km worth of trails and appreciate getting back to nature.
Raft it out
When summertime hits, ditch the ski's and grab a paddle for an adrenaline rush on the water. If you're looking for a more chilled experience, why not float on the river at dusk and soak up all that British Columbia beauty?
food and drink in whistler
Food & Drink
With all of Whistler's outdoor activities, you're going to need some serious refuelling! But it's not all poutine and maple syrup (although we wouldn't complain). Choose from juicy tacos at La Cantina, get your pie 'peaked' at Peaked Pies whislt sipping on locally crafted beer and wine.

When is the best time to visit Whistler?

With a ski season stretching out for 200 days, there's a reason keen skiers and snowboarders flock here and find it damn hard to leave. The peak ski season however is December to March. April-July brings in warmer weather, ideal for hikes and camping under the stars. Sticking around in Autumn? Be sure to check out Whistler's popular festivals too.
